Friends of our future.
As Western Australia’s oldest community independent school, we have always been rich in human resources. Our finances have never been fuelled by endowments, bequest programs or professional fundraising outfits. Lance Holt School has always balanced keeping fees as accessible as possible, while employing the most experienced and talented values-led educators.
10 Henry Street was acquired for a song back in the day; that fortuitous freehold purchase set the school up for a long time. Sadly, in recent years, the building’s capacity gave out, and the costs of maintenance and mitigating a rising water table became a burden the school could no longer carry.
We are temporarily housed in the Fremantle Oval buildings while we embark on a massive project: redeveloping 195-197 High Street into the new Lance Holt School campus, with the hope it will hold children another half century and beyond. This site allows us to preserve our connection to a heritage building in Fremantle, but the renovation and construction will require a tremendous fundraising effort.
So, for the first time since 1970, we are asking our community for contributions to help fund our future. Please turn your love for the school into a legacy for all Lance Holt kids.
